
Today the share price of Axis Bank, one of the leading private banks of India is trading up almost 5%. Axis Bank declared its FY 22 Quarter 3 results yesterday and the company’s net profit has increased by 224% on YOY (year-on-year) basis.
The net interest income of the company also increased by 17%. In the case of a bank, NPA (non performing asset) is a very critical metric to judge the asset quality of the bank, and the lower the number, the better.
If we talk about axis bank, then their gross NPA has come down by 36 basis points to 3.17% and net NPA has been reduced by 17 basis points to 0.91%.

The company’s total deposits also grew by 20% on YOY (year-on-year) basis. CASA (current account and saving account) ratio is also a very important metric for banks and the higher it is, the better.
The CASA ratio of Axis bank increased by 189 basis points to a record 44%.
