Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Launches the All-New Scorpio-N

On 20 May 2022 Mahindra & Mahindra Limited announced that they will launch the all-new ‘Scorpio-N’ brand new of the much-awaited SUV segment. The all-new ‘Scorpio-N’ comes with automatic and manual transmission and is powered by diesel and petrol engines with prices starting at Rs 11.99 lakhs.

The company said that their new SUV Scorpio-N received more than 1 lakh bookings within half an hour of its market launch on July 30, 2022, at 11.00 AM and 72% of the first 25,000 Scorpio-N were booked online. The total ex-showroom price of all these bookings is almost Rs 18000 crores (USD 2.3 billion).

The delivery of the all-new ‘Scorpio-N’ will start on 26 September 2022. This is the third consecutive successful SUV model from Mahindra & Mahindra.

According to the company, the all-new ‘Scorpio-N’ will be offered with a 4×4 option to cater to the adventurous abilities of the youth and the aspirations of the tech-savvy customers and will come with a host of modern features, the latest technology, commanding driving position and attractive design. All four are disc brakes that ensure a safe drive and Multiple connected apps like Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Alexa Voice Assistant, etc for the best driving experience.

The new ‘Scorpio-N’ has been designed by Indian multinational giant Mahindra Group in Mumbai, Chennai, Italy, and the USA and will be manufactured at Chakan in the Pune district of Maharashtra state India.

The all-new Scorpio-N is powered by petrol and diesel engines including the mHawk in diesel that makes 128.6kW (175PS) power and 400 Nm torque and TGDi mStallion in petrol that makes 149.14 kW (200 PS) power and 380 Nm torque.

The company said that the all-new Scorpio-N will be launched simultaneously in India, South Africa, and Nepal and will soon launch in New Zealand and Australia as well.
